If you are interested in the prophecy that brought you here, you might also be interested in the rest of it. All of the entries in this blog are related to the prophecy of the Old Testament and from other cultures, and how they have affected our lives for thousands of years. Another issue covered is the likelihood of the realization of the complete fulfillment of the prophecy.

Cold as the Next Ice Age

1Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.

2Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

3I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

That is the opening lines of the King James Version of Isaiah chapter 50. It will be understood by the time the heavens are “clothed in blackness.” There are several mentions in various prophecies of this event, when the stars no longer shine, the sun is shrouded in darkness, and the moon no longer gives off its light.

Something else is given for us to understand. It says that God will “dry up the sea.” We know now that this is quite possible. We know it because scientists have been studying ice cores from glaciers around the world that indicate quiet clearly that during past “ice ages,” quite a lot of water was stored in the glaciers thus reducing the level of the oceans. That last major “ice age” was 12,000 years ago. We know that at that time, sea level was at least 500 feet less than it is now. We are being told that this will happen again. We know from science that it will begin to happen in just a matter of a few years from now. That is how we should know to expect the man who is being described in the next few lines.

4The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

5The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

6I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

He is describing his self, and what he will have to deal with when he gets here. We are being told that he will be “learned,” and quite capable of understanding and also explaining what is going on, from a religious as well as a scientific viewpoint. He will come along “in season,” to explain all this to the “weary.” The “weary” is a description of people’s attitudes who will be present when it’s time for his arrival. They will be tired of waiting, and will have “sold their selves,” as described in the opening lines of this chapter.

He will have to take a lot of punishment from people when he arrives, and starts explaining to people what is going on. Those who were “tired of waiting,” and sold their selves will despise him. We are being told to expect that, and his reaction to that. He will NOT be accepted initially, as those who grew “weary” have taught us. He will do his “job” anyway, and take their abuse.

7For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

8He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.

9Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

He will be “cocky,” and challenge those who think they should take him on. He will invite them to “bring it on,” and then watch them “deteriorate.” That doesn’t sound like the Messiah that is presented to us by those who grew “weary” of waiting, and created their own version of him, does it?

10Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

That line is telling us to NOT be ashamed because you have “no light.” It’s telling us to “trust in the name of the LORD,” our God, and “his servant.” In a round about way, it is telling us to ignore those who claim to possess the “light.”

11Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.

That is a warning to all those “weary” souls that tried to create their own “light.” They shall “lie down in sorrow,” because they will not listen to the “servant” of God, the true Messiah, when he arrives. Could that be because they tried to create their own version of the Messiah? Did they try to make a Messiah out of the wrong man, and then try to maintain their dignity after doing so?

Did the heavens turn black when their Messiah showed up? Did the seas dry up?

“This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.” The “servant of God” will let the ones who claim to “come in his name,” with their own “light” perish in “sorrow.”

The Seven Fires Prophecy

“The Light-skinned People will be given a choice between two paths. If they choose the right path the Seventh Fire will light the Eighth Fire and final fire of brotherhood and sisterhood. If they choose the wrong path, remaining on the path of the mind, then the destruction they brought with them will come back to destroy them. The people of the earth will experience much suffering and death.” – Edward Benton Banai (a Midewiwin teacher and Grand Chief of the Three Fires Midewiwin Lodge)

That quote is from the book, “The Mishomis Book,” and is a relatively recent rendition of a prophecy that was handed down “word of mouth” for over a thousand years. It’s the last part of what is known as, “The Prophecy of the Seven Fires.” It can be found in several places on the Internet in various forms, some with and some without interpretations. Virtually all the interpretations presented with it agree that we are approaching the “seventh fire.” That is easy to see when anyone reads the prophecy in its entirety, which is presented at the end of this interpretation, which is really an explanation.

If you do a search on the prophecy, you might find that there are various forms of the prophecy, with the last paragraph taken out of context. It appears that a lot of people will readily misquote great words to serve their own misguided missions. If you take a look at the next to the last line, you will see something that quite a lot of people do not want to deal with.

“If they choose the wrong path, remaining on the path of the mind, then the destruction they brought with them will come back to destroy them.”

That line gets taken out of context quite a lot, and is misconstrued to indicate that the rest of humanity is counting on the “Light-skinned People,” for everyone’s salvation. What it’s really saying is that the “Light-skinned People” in North America are going to die, if they rely on their minds, when the air we breathe gets tainted; which is also part of the prophecy, as indicated in the first part of the “Seventh Fire.”

“Much of the forests and prairies would be gone so the air would begin to lose the power of life.”

We know for sure that pollution is rapidly taking its toll on our environment, and we also know for sure that we can’t live without oxygen. What we are being told there is that we better have a source of oxygen when that time comes, or we are going to die. We are told in the line that follows that one, that something the “Light-skinned People” bring would cause this to happen.

“The way of the mind brought to the red, black, and yellow nation by the white nation would bring danger to the whole earth.”

It’s not hard to figure out what was brought with the “mind.” We all love our technological achievements, and most people simply ignore the FACT that some of our technology is polluting our environment so bad that it’s only a matter of time before our world is so polluted that it won’t sustain life. We are being warned there that we will NOT be able to come up with a technological solution for this problem.

That is what our government is currently considering. Our resources are being spent on developing “scrubbers,” instead of mandating laws to stop pollution. That prophecy is telling us that the “scrubbers” we are currently working on WILL NOT work. It is also telling us that those people who are counting on technology to get us through this are going to take the “wrong path.”

Quite a lot of people will make the wrong choice, and the reason for that is also pointed out in this part of the prophecy.

"As this fire loses its heat there will come among the people those who promise great joy and salvation. If the people accept this promise and abandon the old ways, the struggle will continue for many generations. This promise is false and it will nearly destroy those who accept it."

That is from the “Firth Fire” part of this prophecy, and is clearly talking about “Christianity.” The “promise” that was given is that “Jesus is coming back,” and he is going to magically transport people to safety. That belief will indeed get a lot of people killed when a technological “fix” never materializes. That’s the “back door” solution to our current problems. Millions of people think that when we kill the earth, they get a free ride out of here. As that part of the prophecy points out, it’s a “false belief,” which shouldn’t be hard to comprehend. After all, why would God allow the very people who are destroying the earth without remorse to continue living here, while everyone else “goes to Hell?”

The essence of this prophecy is clear. White people will be given a choice between “staying the course” and dying, or open up to their spiritual being and do the right thing, which is pointed out in the following lines.

“If the New People will find trust in the way of all things, in the circle, they will no longer need the selfish voice of the ego and they can begin to trust their inner voice. Wisdom will be once again be found in dreams of the night and of the day.”

That’s going to be a hard one for most white people to do. Those who can hear their “inner voice” are deemed “insane” nowadays. Believe it or not, that is also what this is talking about.

“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” - Jeremiah 31:33-34 KJV

Don’t worry; just because one group of people came along and tried to convince everyone else that THEY were the “house of Israel,” doesn’t change the FACT that the true “house of Israel” includes everyone that lives through the destruction that is coming. They are referred to as the “New People,” in “The Prophecy of the Seven Fires, which follows.

The Prophecy of the Seven Fires
according to The Mishomis Book by Edward Benton Banai

Seven prophets appeared to the people. The First Prophet told the people that in the time of the First Fire they would leave their homes by the sea and follow the sign of the megis. They were to journey west into strange lands in search of a island in the shape of a turtle. This island will be linked to the purification of the earth. Such an island was to be found at the beginning and at the end of their journey. Along the way they would find a river connecting two large sweet water seas. This river would be narrow and deep as though a knife had cut through the land. They would stop seven times to create villages but they would know that their journey was complete when they found food growing on the water. If they did not leave, there would be much suffering and they would be destroyed. And they would be pursued and attacked by other nations along the way so they must be strong and ready to defend themselves.

The Second Prophet told them they could recognize the Second Fire because while they were camped by a sweet water sea they would lose their direction and that the dreams of a little boy would point the way back to the true path, the stepping stones to their future.

The Third Prophet said that in the Third Fire the Anishinabe would find the path to the lands prepared for them and they would continue their journey west to the place where food grows upon the water.

The Fourth Prophet was two who came as one. The first told them to expect a race of people who had light skin. The future of the Anishinabeg would be known by the face the light-skinned people would wear. If they come in brotherhood there would be a time of wonderful change. New knowledge would be joined with the old knowledge and the two peoples would join to make a mighty nation. Two other nations would join to make four and they would become the mightiest nation of all. If they brought only their knowledge and their good-will they would be like brothers.

The second being of the Fourth Prophet warned the light-skinned race might wear the face of death that would almost look the same as the face of brotherhood. "If they come carrying a weapon and if they seem to be suffering, beware. Behind this face is greed. You shall recognize the face of death if the rivers are poisoned and the fish are unfit to eat."

The Fifth Prophet said that in the time of the Fifth Fire there will be a struggle between the way of the mind of the light-skinned people and the natural path of spirit of the many nations of natural people. "As this fire loses its heat there will come among the people those who promise great joy and salvation. If the people accept this promise and abandon the old ways, the struggle will continue for many generations. This promise is false and it will nearly destroy those who accept it."

The Sixth Prophet told them that in the time of Sixth Fire it would be clear that the promise accepted during the Fifth Fire was false. "Those who were deceived by this promise will take their children away from the teachings of the elders. The elders will lose their purpose in life and many will become sick and die. Many people will be out of balance and the cup of life will become the cup of grief."

The Seventh Prophet was younger than the others who had come and there was a glowing light from his eyes. He said that there would come a time when the waters had been so poisoned that the animals and plants that lived there would fall sick and begin to die. Much of the forests and prairies would be gone so the air would begin to lose the power of life. The way of the mind brought to the red, black, and yellow nation by the white nation would bring danger to the whole earth. In this time there will arise Osh-ki-bi-ma-di-zeeg, a new people who will emerge from the clouds of illusion. They will retrace their steps to find the treasures that had been left by the trail. The stories that had been lost will be returned to them. They will remember the Original Instructions and find strength in the way of the circle. Their search will take them to the elders and the new people will ask for guidance. But many of the elders will have walked the Path of the Souls to the Star Web. Many elders will have forgotten their wisdom and they will not be able to help. Some of the elders will point in the wrong direction and others will remain silent because of their fear. Some of the elders will be silent because no one has asked them for their wisdom.

If the New People will find trust in the way of all things, in the circle, they will no longer need the selfish voice of the ego and they can begin to trust their inner voice. Wisdom will be once again be found in dreams of the night and of the day. The sacred fire will once again be lit. The Light-skinned People will be given a choice between two paths. If they choose the right path the Seventh Fire will light the Eighth Fire and final fire of brotherhood and sisterhood. If they choose the wrong path, remaining on the path of the mind, then the destruction they brought with them will come back to destroy them. The people of the earth will experience much suffering and death.

Waicomah Tete "Lord of the Wind"

He has more “names” than anyone can keep up with. That’s because he has been everywhere on the planet, including North America, which appears to have been his favorite land; based on his many visits there. If you take the time to research all the stories about him, you will eventually find a common thread among them, even though they are as varied as all other beliefs about him. Two things about him stand out amongst all over attributes associated with him, besides the two that everyone knows. Besides knowing him as a “prophet” and a “healer,” the Native Americans of antiquity knew him as a “pale, bearded man,” and quite a lot of them bestow the title, “Lord of the Wind.”

“The story of the Ghost Dance begins many generations ago. It begins with the telling of the legend of the Healer - He who has been known by many names and experienced by many peoples. Mahnt-Azoma, Tah-co-mah, Kate-Zahl, Wa co-ma-tete, Tah-co-pah, Ee-see-co-tl, Eeasu, Wai-co-mah, Hu-ru-kan, Quetzal-Cotal, Itza-matul, Kul-kul, Deganaweda. There are so many names by which this mysterious entity, including Knichi ta-Kanichi wa, was called by the many people he met as he traveled the Turtle. Translated into English, we are faced with varying interpretations... Lord of the Wind, the Pale Prophet, the Healer, the Lord of Water and Wind, the silver light that falls from heaven. They go on ...”

“The Dakota called him Waicomah Tete.. meaning the lord of the wind and water. Again we here his name amongst the Ojebiwa where he is known as Wis ah Co. Lord of the wind.”

“The Sioux have been given the promise of the White Buffalo Calf Woman. She made this promise to us long ago, before the white men from the land across the waters came back to our land. There was one who came before these men. Wa Coma Tete , The Lord of the Wind we called him. He told us of the coming of these others, and the path of blood they would leave behind them. He warned us that we would become like dust in the wind, and many would even forget their own language as well as our ways. Then in the time of the Seventh Generation we would begin to see the signs that the New World was birthing. There would be much confusion in those days, and the hope of all people not only the Indian people would be like the dying flame of the camp fire, almost about to go out. Just a small flicker of hope would remain in those dark days., as the Great Dying that the Old ones foretold us about was upon the land. Everything would seem to be dying, the grasses, the standing people, the animals, the waters, it would be as if the Earth herself was dying.”

“Throughout various historical documents surviving the era of conquest, this Pale Prophet, Emperor-god, Quetzalcoatl, has been called St. Thomas or ‘Toum’ in the Elder language of the Itza Maya, the Nahuatl. In the overlapping of languages, where most Mayan and Inca translations of their ancient text are in Spanish, or Latin, as well in the ancient texts, He is often referred to as being Jesus the Christ himself, or the Pale Prophet, the Lord of the Wind and Water.”
http://www.wolflodge.org/sananda/chilam-1/way_of_the_jaguar.htm

“Our memories of the Prophet are dimmed by the ages. Among the Choctah, He was known as Eemeshee, the Wind God, for strange are the tales which are told of His power over the heavens, and the winds which speak with the breath of the spirits.”

"It is said that He told us of White Man's coming, and when He did His eyes had a sad look as if seeing about Him the scenes of the future. Once He said: 'All my life have I struggled against this thing called the Law of the Jungle. Are these bearded ones who are still my children going down war's trail to final destruction, and thus give the last human victory in death to the Law of the Jungle?'

"He was sad that day as He spoke unto us, for He was leaving us to travel northward; perhaps to you, the Chippewa Nation, for this was before our migrations when we, too, lived far to the southward where the sun makes shorter shadows....We would find out much more about Him if like this we had many councils tribe to tribe. We would learn more about ourselves also. This I know: we, too, once had had secret languages, but I know not if they are still remembered. The women had a secret language among themselves. It was not taught to captive women. Then there was the language taught in certain lodges. That was the one He taught us. It would be interesting to study this language if this were possible, between tribe and tribe. It might tell us from whence He came to us, and how long ago He walked among us.”

"In our land of Oklahoma where our plows turn the good earth, and our cattle graze on the brown hills, I have often seen His symbol among the women's work (who still weave baskets) as I ride to other camps trading. Sometimes it is woven with the Star of the Morning, or the Cross of Four Directions or the symbol for the Cedar, sacred Tree of Ceremony.”
http://www.geocities.com/willow1d/amer2.html

“After this, He continued on His way to the Zuni. But before this, He stayed with the Dene. Now at this time, these were not the tribes as they are known today for this was just after they had traveled to this area, yet unsettled in themselves. According to this legend, they were a part of the Serpent people and had met up with the Prophet in the red lands of Monument Valley. They were very skeptical of Him and His reputation that was rumored. They questioned Him as to what right did He have as to claim the title of "Lord of Wind and Water" and asked Him if His and His Father's power was actually greater than that of the Fire God.”
http://www.geocities.com/willow1d/amer3.html

Some of the quoted material comes to us from people who “quoted” Native Americans “out of context” to make their point, but the useful information is still there. The “Lord of the Wind” is opposed to the “Fire God,” which can easily be understood to be the element of destruction forces that the “Lord of the Wind” will protect Native Americans and the rest of humanity from. If you further research the “Lord of the Wind” by his various names, you will also find out that earthquakes, volcanoes, tidal waves, and the sun are all involved in the elements of destruction, known as “Purification Day.” You will also find out that he is elemental in returning the continents of the Americas to their original inhabitants. Virtually ALL Native American prophecies surrounding any of those attributes include that common theme.

Who is the “Lord of the Wind,” and why would he be known by that title? To understand that; simply consider what “wind” is. It’s moving air. Is it possible for anyone to control the wind? That’s not likely at all, because the wind is generated by temperature differentials between the land and sea, which are not influenced by the will of anyone. So we have to look elsewhere to understand why he would be referred to by that title. Why would “moving air” be relevant or important? If you think about what’s going to happen during the days of destruction with volcanoes erupting all around the world, and fires that will burn most of the surface of the planet, then you might see that an air supply is going to be necessary for your survival during that time.

The “Lord of the Wind” will be able to supply a source of fresh air for those who have the ability to figure that out. All others will fall by the wayside, or be “purified” from the face of the earth during the destructive events predicted. They simply won’t be able to breathe then.

Writing control code for automated machinery is my primary method of providing a life for myself. My primary interest isn’t in my professional job though, it is in writing about what I have learned when I applied a simple programming procedure to understanding the Bible. Writing “subroutines,” is a way to store code outside of the main program, or “book,” as you would do it if you applied the procedure to writing a novel, or prophecy.
