If you are interested in the prophecy that brought you here, you might also be interested in the rest of it. All of the entries in this blog are related to the prophecy of the Old Testament and from other cultures, and how they have affected our lives for thousands of years. Another issue covered is the likelihood of the realization of the complete fulfillment of the prophecy.

Daniel and Obama

13 "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
– Daniel 7:13-14 NIV

That’s who Jesus said he was; the “son of man,” even though his coming wasn’t like “coming with the clouds of heaven.” It also didn’t happen during the rise to power of the “fourth beast,” described by Daniel. He would have thought that the Romans were the “fourth beast,” and that the “clouds of heaven” were a metaphor for the afterlife. But Rome wasn’t the “fourth beast,” so they quickly took care of Jesus, like they would any other threat to their domination. If he truly thought that he was the “son of man,” then he would have thought that he was supposed to be taking on the great Babylon, predicted to fall during the “end times,” as predicted by the prophets. He would have been confident of his success in ending the domination of his people from the Romans, but it didn’t happen for several hundred years later.

The “fourth beast” didn’t show up for almost two thousand years later.

23 "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
– Daniel 7:23-25 NIV

Who is currently the most powerful nation on earth? Is there any chance that any other nation could become more powerful than it? The answer to those questions should be telling us something. There is no chance that any other country could ever get more powerful than us, because we would never let that happen. We have reached the ultimate pinnacle of power with our military, and have clearly established that we aren’t afraid to use it to destroy any “unfriendly” nation that threatens us. A king is mentioned; one that is “different from the earlier ones.” What outstanding characteristic does the front-runner in the most powerful nation on earth’s presidential election have? Few people would miss the answer to that question. For the first time a black man will be the president, and we are being given a glimpse into what he will do.

23 "In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a stern-faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise. 24 He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people. 25 He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.
– Daniel 8:23-25 NIV

That doesn’t sound much like the man who is about to be elected president. Our next president appears to be a man of integrity, and a devout Christian. Surely he would welcome the “Most High,” wouldn’t he? He apparently won’t. “He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws.” He will be faced with major problems, and won’t recognize that his and his nation’s downfall can’t be prevented. That is the part of the prophecy that will keep him from understanding the rest of it. His nation’s downfall is just one aspect. That event is followed by destructive events that threaten human existence. He won’t want to believe that his nation is the “Great Babylon,” predicted by his religion’s very own Revelation.

When this prophecy is realized as being fulfilled, many people will begin to realize that we are in trouble, and his response to that realization will be denial. “When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes.” He will have two “enemies,” during his reign. The “son of man,” and the “Prince of princes.” He will have to go after the man that destroyed the Twin Towers, Osama bin Laden, because he is still alive, and doing well. And according to the rest of the prophecy of the “son of man,” he will remain that way throughout its entirety. As crazy as it sounds, that is what Daniel says, and Ezekiel expands on. The “son of man” was given the authority to divide the land for the “Prince of princes.”

“13 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "These are the boundaries by which you are to divide the land for an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel, with two portions for Joseph. 14 You are to divide it equally among them. Because I swore with uplifted hand to give it to your forefathers, this land will become your inheritance.”
– Ezekiel 47:13-14 NIV

“21 "What remains on both sides of the area formed by the sacred portion and the city property will belong to the prince. It will extend eastward from the 25,000 cubits of the sacred portion to the eastern border, and westward from the 25,000 cubits to the western border. Both these areas running the length of the tribal portions will belong to the prince, and the sacred portion with the temple sanctuary will be in the center of them. 22 So the property of the Levites and the property of the city will lie in the center of the area that belongs to the prince. The area belonging to the prince will lie between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin.”
– Ezekiel 48:21-22 NIV

Our next president is going to have a hard time comprehending how the “Prince of princes” doesn’t have a problem with the “son of man.” Unless he reads this, he won’t even know that they are two different individuals, because he is a Christian, and Christians are taught that they are the same individual. That’s because Jesus claimed to be the “son of man,” and the “Son of God.” He mistakenly thought that the “son of man” was the “prince” referred to by Ezekiel. The “son of man” is dividing the land around the temple for someone else. The last “prince” mentioned by Ezekiel is the “Prince of princes” from Daniel. Who else would live in the temple? Only the Ancient One, the Most High, the Prince of princes.

“4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.”
– Ezekiel 38:4 NIV

"[It is] easy for us to provoke and bait this administration."
"All that we have to do is to send two mujahedeen to the furthest point east to raise a piece of cloth on which is written al Qaeda, in order to make generals race there to cause America to suffer human, economic and political losses without their achieving anything of note other than some benefits for their private corporations."
– Osama bin Laden 2004

“I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land”
– Ezekiel 38:12 NIV

"We are continuing this policy in bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy."
– Osama bin Laden 2004

“1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuary. Prophesy against the land of Israel 3 and say to her: 'This is what the LORD says: I am against you. I will draw my sword from its scabbard and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked. 4 Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked, my sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north. 5 Then all people will know that I the LORD have drawn my sword from its scabbard; it will not return again.'”
- Ezekiel 21:1-5 NIV

“On that basis, and in compliance with God's order, we issue the following judgment to all Muslims. The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies -- civilians and military -- is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it, in order to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy mosque from their grip, and in order for their armies to move out of all the lands of Islam, defeated and unable to threaten any Muslim. This is in accordance with the words of Almighty God, "and fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together," and "fight them until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God."”
– Osama bin Laden 1998

18 The word of the LORD came to me: 19 "Son of man, mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take, both starting from the same country. Make a signpost where the road branches off to the city. 20 Mark out one road for the sword to come against Rabbah of the Ammonites and another against Judah and fortified Jerusalem.
- Ezekiel 21:18-19 NIV

“But any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized and defensible borders. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided.”
- Barack Obama 2008

We have the “last war” laid out in front of us now. It is about the occupation of Jerusalem, and the control of the Middle East, “Media.” We have a man that thinks he was sent by God to drive us out of Jerusalem and the rest of the Middle East. We will have a president who is much different from the last 10.

Does it not stand to reason that the Prince of princes should be showing up about now?

Writing control code for automated machinery is my primary method of providing a life for myself. My primary interest isn’t in my professional job though, it is in writing about what I have learned when I applied a simple programming procedure to understanding the Bible. Writing “subroutines,” is a way to store code outside of the main program, or “book,” as you would do it if you applied the procedure to writing a novel, or prophecy.
